Approche Wensteinienne 30/34system

Comme pour toutes ces approches le support doit pouvoir décaller et faire de beaux trend, il est donc nécessaire de savoir les choisir et de se doter des outils pour le faire .

30/34 System Rules

The 30/34 System is a swing system for trading the S&P E-mini futures (ES). Signals are taken from a 30 minute chart of the ES with a 34ema (exponential moving average). This system is almost always in the market.

I have back tested on other markets achieving profitable results. The system is profitable varying different moving averages for entry and/or exit and applying different money management techniques.

The 30/34 System rules are as follows:

1.LONG ENTRY based on close of 30 min bar. Go long if the closing price of a 30 minute bar is equal to or greater than the 34ema by 1 point (.99 doesn't count).

2. LONG STOP (referred to a crash stop by GB007) = 5 points less than the 34ema. This is not based on close of bar, it is MIT (market if touched)

3. PROFIT OBJECTIVE  will change depending on market volatility as measured by the last 3 months maximized theoretical profit. It is currently at +38. Note: in the time I have been monitoring this system the profit objective has varied from 30-40 points. I continually use a +35 point target, chosing not to recalculate the profit target.

4. SHORT ENTRY based on close of 30 min bar. Go short if the closing price of a 30 minute bar is equal to or less than the 34ema by 1 point (.99 doesn't count).

5. SHORT STOP (referred to a crash stop by GB007) = 5 points greater than the 34ema. This is not based on close of bar, it is MIT (market if touched)

7. The system is always in the market (including overnight, Globex session) except when you have just taken profits and are waiting for the next entry.

8. New traders should chose to wait for a theoretical drawdown of 35-40 points ($1750-$2000) before starting to use the 30/34 since it has had a drawdown of -90 points and several in the - 60 point range in the past 6 years.

9. The 30/34 is a SAR (stop and reverse) system. The only other variables are closing out at the profit objective or getting stopped out at the 5 point "crash stop".

10. Only RTH (regular-time hours) data is used. No entries or exits are made during the Globex session.

Recent congestion = Drawdown = good time to begin.
